What is Halo Skin Treatment?

As the years go by, your skin loses its glow of youth due to the aging process and sun exposure. Sunspots, lines, and wrinkles develop over time, and you may find yourself missing your youthful glow. Halo is a radical new skin treatment created by Sciton that restores your youthful glow by targeting the right depth in your skin — unlike previous lasers, which were too shallow or too deep.

Halo Resurfacing FAQs

How does Halo by Sciton Work?

Halo is the world’s first hybrid fractional laser, combining non-ablative and ablative wavelength to increase your skin’s natural glow. Halo can treat pigment inconsistencies, wrinkles, and pores, and is less painful than typical fractional resurfacing. Results can be accomplished in just 1 to 2 treatments, and healing is faster than traditional treatment methods.

What Makes Halo Different from Other Laser Treatments?

Most skin lasers are either ablative or non-ablative which means they work either by removing outer layers of skin to address fine lines, acne scars or other problems or they work by delivering energy through the skin to promote collagen deep within. Ablative lasers work quickly but typically require several weeks of downtime. Non-ablative lasers don’t require much (if any) downtime but results appear more slowly and usually require several treatments.

Until now you had to choose between a laser skin treatment that offered amazing results but came with lengthy downtime or a treatment that offered fast recovery but marginal results without multiple sequential treatments. What makes Halo unique is its ability to simultaneously deliver both fractional (ablative) and non-fractional (non-ablative) wavelengths in the same area, maximizing results and minimizing downtime. This allows you to receive a fully customized treatment that can address both mild and severe skin conditions in the epidermis and dermis in a single pass. Halo treats aging skin quickly by targeting surface-level imperfections while stimulating collagen remodeling and cellular repair in the inner dermal layers.

With Halo, you get the best of both worlds – the great results offered by aggressive skin treatments with minimal downtime.

How Soon Will I See Results After Treatment?

Many patients experience noticeable improvements after just 7 days. Results are usually looking great after about 3 weeks, and continue to improve for several months.*

How Many Treatments Will I Need with Halo?

Many patients are satisfied after just 1 or 2 treatments (compared to 5 or more with some other lasers). More extensive signs of aging may benefit from up to 4 treatments spaced about one month apart. Since every patient is different and has a different level of skin damage, to get a better idea of how many treatments you will need for your skin we recommend scheduling a consultation with Dr. Gould.
