What is SculpSure?
SculpSure is a laser-assisted, non-surgical fat reduction system developed by the same doctors that changed the liposuction world with Smartlipo. It is an FDA-approved procedure that non-invasively reduces fat in the abdomen, thighs and love handle areas. It safely contours the body and melts away fat with a laser that reduces fat by heating it.
How Does SculpSure Work?
SculpSure heats up the fat cells above a threshold temperature to which they are more sensible. The body then clears away the damaged fat cells by itself. SculpSure uses cooling plates to keep the skin cool and comfortable while the heat is concentrated and delivered right into the fat.
Does SculpSure Require Surgery or Downtime?
As SculpSure is completely non-invasive, there is little downtime, and no need for any kind of anesthesia.
What Areas of Fat Can I Treat with SculpSure?
SculpSure has been FDA-approved to reduce fat in the following areas:
- Inner and outer thighs
- Love handles
What are the Benefits of SculpSure?
- Fast treatment time (only 25 minutes)
- Up to 25% reduction in fat in the treated area*
- Cost effective
- Easily tolerated
- Results without surgery or downtime
- No vacuum applicator like CoolSculpting
- Versatile applicators enable treating numerous areas
- Thermal spread creates treatment locations a little longer than applicator size
How Soon Will I See Results?
Patients may start to see results as early as 6 weeks following treatment as the body begins to evacuate the destroyed fat cells, with optimal results usually seen at 12 weeks*.
How Long Do the Results Last?
Treated fat cells are destroyed during the treatment and will not regenerate.
Because not all of the fat cells in the treated area are destroyed, it is possible to regain fat in the treated area.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
Every patient is different. Dr. Gould will create a customized treatment plan for you which will outline how many treatments you will need to achieve your desired fat reduction goals.
Who is a Good Candidate for SculpSure?
If you have stubborn areas of fat, SculpSure™ is the revolutionary treatment that you’ve been looking for. In addition to its FDA-approval for safety and effectiveness, it also requires only one treatment in most cases, whereas several other fat reduction techniques require multiple treatments.
Ideal candidates for SculpSure™ should be within 10-15 pounds of their proper weight and should be otherwise healthy. The best candidates have pockets of diet- and exercise-resistant fat that they want to remove. If your goal is to lose a great deal of weight, SculpSure™ may not be an option for you.
How Much Does SculpSure Cost?
The price for SculpSure procedures varies depending on your areas of concern, the number of sessions needed, and your ultimate goals. We will create a customized treatment plan, in person, with you that’s tailored to your body, your goals, and your budget.
How Much Fat Will I Lose with SculpSure?
SculpSure™ treatments result in a noticeable fat reduction in the treated areas*. You should be able to see the reduction in fat with your own eyes. Studies show that the treatment can remove up to 20-25% of the fat in the treated areas*. For many patients, that is enough fat reduction. Some patients will wish to undergo a second procedure to remove additional fat.
How Does SculpSure Reduce Fat Cells?
The hyperthermic action of SculpSure™ heats your fat cells, causing them to detach from your inner tissues. Once they’ve been removed, the body considers them unnecessary tissue and will filter them through your body just as they would any other loose tissue or particles. The fat will dissipate naturally and effectively disappear from your body.
Is SculpSure Safe?
SculpSure is FDA-approved for non-invasive fat reduction and was found to be safe during the FDA-approval process.
What is the Difference Between Weight Loss and Fat Reduction?
The number of fat cells stored in our bodies remain constant throughout our adult lives. As we lose weight our fat cells will shrink. but do not decrease in number. SculpSure treatments destroy fat cells which won’t return even with weight gain. However, the remaining fat cells can expand with weight gain.
Is the Procedure Painful?
Most patients feel a tingling sensation intermittently throughout the treatment which is generally well-tolerated.
What is the Difference Between SculpSure and CoolSculpting?
SculpSure™ utilizes heat to reduce fatty tissues so they release from your body and CoolSculpting® freezes the fat cells so they can be naturally removed. However, CoolSculpting takes an hour per treatment for each area and only one area can be treated at a time, whereas SculpSure is non-surgical, requires no downtime and can treat four areas instead of only one at a time. In addition, each treatment takes half the time of CoolSculpting.
If I Had CoolSculpting in the Past Can I Get SculpSure?
We have actually treated many individuals with SculpSure who have had Coolsculpting ™ before to either accomplish a better result in a previously treated location, or to deal with a brand new area.
